PROFILE

Joined the company in 2025

seeking a balance between work-life balance and job satisfactionShoutenI joined
Currently, as a route salesperson, I handle deliveries and proposal activities while working to solve customers' problems.

  • Why did you join Tomizawa Shouten ?

In short, I decided to join the company because I felt it was an environment where I could value both my work style and job satisfaction

Although my previous job was very rewarding, the excessive overtime made it difficult to balance work with caring for a family member, which prompted me to consider changing jobs.
because of its generous holidays and open company culture, andShoutenI felt that I wanted to contribute to the company, so I joined.

  • The work I am currently doing

Currently, I am in charge of the Tokyo and Kanagawa areas, handling route deliveries and sales

I visit approximately 12 to 13 customers per day, delivering products such as flour, sugar, nuts, and packaging materials.
Beyond simply delivering goods, I also observe each customer's needs and offer suggestions such as introducing new products, proposing seasonal items, and encouraging them to switch from competitors' products.

After returning to the office, I spend my time preparing for the next proposal by working on tasks such as creating quotations, preparing shipments for the next day, and sharing information within the company

  • The interesting aspects of this job

The rewarding aspect of this job is that the daily accumulation of effort builds trust and expands the range of proposals we can offer. One
particularly memorable experience was when we expanded our business relationship with a client.
Through everyday conversations, I became interested in their products and business, and gradually built a relationship with them, eventually leading them to share information about their purchasing practices with other companies.

As a result of making more specific proposals, we were able to get them to switch approximately 80% of their products to our company. This
ultimately led to improved profitability for the customer, and I was deeply impressed when they told us, "We're glad we made the switch."

Furthermore, by adjusting delivery times, we were able to ensure that products were available before the start of business hours, which I believe contributed to making them easier to use on-site

When I first joined the company, I struggled with the sheer number of products, but I gradually built up my knowledge through my daily work.
Now, I can use that knowledge to make proposals that meet our customers' needs, and I feel a real sense of personal growth.

  • Things that feel typical of Tomizawa Shouten

Due to the nature of delivery work, there is a lot of time spent working alone, but internal communication is active

Conversations naturally arise during morning meetings and loading times, creating an environment where it's easy to ask questions or seek advice about any problems or uncertainties.
There's a flat organizational structure, free from hierarchical constraints, allowing you to work with peace of mind.

  • Things I want to try in the future

Going forward, I aim to deepen my knowledge of confectionery and bread making, and become a salesperson who can offer even more valuable proposals to our customers

In the future, I aspire to become someone who can contribute to improving the overall level of the team by being involved in areas such as delivery operations management and sales training

To those considering applying

This job involves not only delivering products, but also building trust with customers and providing value.
Therefore, I think it's a suitable environment for people who enjoy interacting with others and who value the accumulation of daily efforts.

You may initially struggle with product knowledge, but you'll gradually acquire it through on-the-job experience.
We'd love to work with someone who wants to build trust with customers by engaging with them and offering their own unique suggestions.
