PROFILE

Joined the company in 2019

Currently, as the head of TOMIZAWA STUDIO, I deliver new experiential value to customers through lesson planning and event management.

  • Why did you join Tomizawa Shouten ?

I've always felt that baking sweets and bread isn't just about eating the finished product, but also about the enjoyment of the process itself. I was
drawn to and interested in the "studio lesson" work, which allows me to directly share that experience with customers.

The deciding factor was that I resonated with the company's philosophy of "sharing the joy of cooking with the world."
I find it rewarding when customers smile and say "I did it!" and "That was fun!" during the lessons, and I wanted to work in an environment that aligned with my own values, so I decided to join the company.

  • The work I am currently doing

Currently, I am in charge of all aspects of studio management as the head of TOMIZAWA STUDIO

In addition to planning and running lessons, developing recipes, and training and managing instructors, I am involved in a wide range of tasks, including recipe development and event planning in collaboration with other departments

The studio operates with a three-table system, and we manage the overall progress in coordination with the instructors.
We are committed to creating a safe and enjoyable environment for our customers while also striving to improve the quality of our lessons.

In my daily work, I directly listen to customer feedback by attending lessons, and use that feedback to make improvements and develop new projects

  • The interesting aspects of this job

The appeal of this job is being able to experience the entire process, from planning to customer feedback

Seeing my own recipes take shape as lessons, watching customers happily make them, and then having them sample the finished products—
being able to witness this entire process firsthand is one of the most rewarding aspects of this job.

On the other hand, when I first took over the studio operations, I struggled to run it with insufficient staff. I
had to constantly think about how to operate within a limited system.

Based on that experience, I came to believe that the most important thing is to "create a good working environment," so I increased communication with staff and worked on creating that environment while incorporating each person's opinion

As a result, we have had zero part-time staff turnover for the past three years, enabling stable studio operations.
Creating an environment where staff can work with peace of mind, in addition to customer satisfaction, is a major source of fulfillment in this job.

  • Things that feel typical of Tomizawa Shouten

The workplace is bright and has an atmosphere that makes communication easy.
We usually chat amicably while working, but when work begins, everyone fulfills their role and works with a sense of focus and efficiency.

Furthermore, we have a culture that values the autonomy of each employee, and we expect them to take the initiative in planning and organizing events

Before joining the company, I had the impression that it was a long-established company and that I would be doing fairly standardized tasks. However, in reality, I feel that it's an environment that encourages proposals and challenges

  • Things I want to try in the future

Going forward, we aim to create lessons and events that will allow even more customers to experience the joy of creating

Furthermore, I want to deepen collaboration with stores and other departments to realize projects that incorporate feedback from the field. I also
want to continue improving my skills while taking on new challenges.

To those considering applying

Tomizawa Shouten is an environment where people who love sweets, bread, and cooking can expand their passion into a career

"People who enjoy making others happy"
"People who want to try new things"
"People who want to think for themselves and take action"

I think it's very suitable for that

Furthermore, since work often involves collaborating with others, this environment is also suitable for those who find satisfaction in achieving results as part of a team

What we deliver is not just a product, but the very joy of creation. We
look forward to working with people who can help spread that value together.
