Why did you join Tomizawa Shouten ?

I started my career as a pastry chef and later expanded my field to the web and e-commerce sectors. When I considered "where I could make the most of my experience," TomizawaShouten.
I had many opportunities to interact with their products since my time as a pastry chef, and before I knew it, they had become a part of my daily life. It had always been one of the companies I wanted to work for in the future.

The deciding factor in my decision to join the company was the opportunity to combine my expertise as a pastry chef with my practical experience in e-commerce, creating an environment where I could demonstrate my value

The work I am currently doing

I am currently in charge of managing an external e-commerce site

I am involved in a wide range of tasks, from sales and profit management to new product development, product page improvement, and creative production direction

Each mall has a designated person in charge, and generally, each person is responsible for the operation of their assigned mall, handling everything from planning and implementing strategies to continuous improvement.
There are many situations where quick decisions must be made based on daily figures, such as "revising allocation" or "strengthening sales promotions," so you will be constantly working with numbers as you go about your work.

I also collaborate with the product department and the international team, participating in the selection of new products and the effective use of existing inventory

The interesting aspects of this job

One of the most rewarding aspects of this job is seeing my own judgment and ingenuity directly reflected in sales and profit figures.
In particular, product selection is crucial in FBA operations, and I identify "products that will sell" based on market trends, reviews, and past experience.

For example, by utilizing surplus inventory intended for overseas markets and developing a sales strategy that balances procurement costs with market prices, we were able to generate sales with high profit margins. I
believe these results are the result of consistent daily data analysis and interdepartmental collaboration.

Furthermore, in developing new products, we focus on changing the approach of existing products, planning from the perspective of "what form would make it more appealing" and "how can we make it easier to use?".
The sense of accomplishment when it leads to sales as intended is immense and motivates us for the next project.

It offers great autonomy and a sense of fulfillment, but it also comes with significant responsibility

In the past, we have caused inconvenience to our customers due to configuration errors, but by thoroughly analyzing the causes and sharing measures to prevent recurrence, we have been able to improve as an organization

Now, I've developed a perspective that considers the optimization of the entire business, taking into account sales, profits, and costs, and I find my daily work rewarding

We are a small, highly skilled team where each individual takes initiative in their work. We
maintain a calm atmosphere while effectively communicating and creating an environment where it's easy to ask for advice.
Supervisors, in particular, play a significant role; they provide guidance when you're unsure of a decision, allowing you to take on challenges with confidence.

Things I want to try in the future

Currently, in addition to e-commerce operations, we are working with our subsidiary, TomizawaShoutenIndonesia, to develop new projects that bring attractive overseas products to Japanese customers.
In the future, we aim to further deepen our collaboration with our overseas team to achieve both product development and increased sales.
In the future, we aspire to become a person who can drive business growth while creating new value, acting as a bridge between Japan and overseas.
