We held a recruitment information session for new graduates - A realistic introduction to the appeal of Tomizawa Shouten and what it's like to work there

Our company has grown over 106 years since its founding as a specialty store handling confectionery and bread-making ingredients and equipment.

At this information session,Yumoto, a back-office staff member with 7 years of experience,andYanagida, a creative professional with 6 years of experience—took the stage to discuss their criteria for choosing a company, the rewards of their work, and their actual job responsibilities.

1. Reasons for choosing the company and the focus of your career

Yumoto, who is in charge of back-office operations,
"wanting to contribute to the local community"her value ofsays that she chose the company based on

"Even though my commute time increased, I valued the 'non-negotiable core values' of being able to work regular hours and be involved in the local community."

Meanwhile, Yanagida, who is in charge of packaging,that she has continued to choose her career based on her honest desire to "do what she wants to do,"and

2. Back office and creative work

We introduced some of the work done in the back office and creative departments

Back office (accounting)

  • Monthly and annual routine tasks

Creative (packaging/planning)

At the end of the discussion, the two offered advice to job-seekers

The students were nodding enthusiastically and taking notes, which was quite impressive, and
it seemed like their image of working in the field had become even more concrete.

Many students raised their hands, and two senior employees kindly answered their questions.
From here, the session continued with a Q&A that further broadened the participants' interest.
