In October 2025, Tomizawa Shouten held a career seminar at Yokohama Sweets & Cafe College for students aspiring to work in the confectionery and bread-making industry.
The theme was " Today's choices determine tomorrow's capabilities ." Students about to start job hunting received real information about the industry and career strategies to help them realize their dreams.
The speaker was Shuichi Sato, Director of Shouten
Director Sato has been involved in management in the food industry both in Japan and overseas, and currently serves as a director of Tomizawa Shouten . Drawing on his experience gained on the global stage, he spoke passionately from a management perspective about the appeal of the industry and the mindset required to work, with a focus on the messages "What is a career?" and "Salary is not the only reward."

Rather than simply providing information, we delivered messages that supported the future of each and every student.

— "The words 'love is necessary for work' struck a chord with me. It made me realize once again the importance of working with a sense of purpose and love."
— "I was surprised to hear that salary isn't the only reward. I would like to view learning and experience as rewards and choose an environment where I can grow."
— "I was impressed by the talk that a career is about leaving the path you have walked in a positive form for your juniors. That's the kind of career I would like to build."
— "The perspective that confectionery and bread making are a 'science' + 'art' was refreshing. It made me want to deepen my knowledge and hone my skills."
— "I learned about the preparations and mindset necessary to aim for independence, and my future goals have become clearer."
