Career education lecture held for 6th graders at Koyama Chuo Elementary School

Recently, our human resources recruitment staff gave a career education lecture to 119 sixth graders at Machida City Koyama Chuo Elementary School

TomizawaShoutenis founded in Machida City,106 a local company .
It has been about two years since we moved our headquarters to Tamasakai in Machida City.
Our desire to contribute more to Machida, the place where we were founded, has grown stronger, and
as our first step in that direction, we have started participating in this career education program.

This lecture wasour company's first career education lecture.
That's why we made sure to cherish the time we spent with the children and carefully explain things about the company and our work.

■ Tomizawa Shouten delivers products from "everyone's hometown" to the whole country

In the lecture, Tomizawa Shouten

  • A company born in Machida City
  • nationwide. 90 We have over
  • All products delivered nationwide, including those from the online shop, are shipped from our headquarters logistics center in Tamasakai

We introduced the following

The logistics center stores and there were approximately 9,000 items,
moments when the children looked surprised, exclaiming, "What?! All of this comes from here?!"

■ All of Tomizawa Shouten 's work is created at our headquarters in Tamasakai

In my talk,Shoutenhas many different job types, and that
there are truly a wide variety of jobs within a single company I introduced the fact that

  • Product planners (planners)
  • A person who designs product packaging (designer)
  • People who spread the word about the merits of a product to many people (public relations/marketing)
  • People who deliver products to customers (logistics)
  • A person who sells in a store (sales)

that much of that work is done daily at the company headquarters in Tamasakai When I explained
the children listened attentively, surprised, saying, "So all those jobs are in the same town!" Following that, I said,
"For example, if you like to draw, that could lead to a job designing packaging,"
"What you enjoy doing now could become your job in the future."
The children's eyes lit up even more, and
it was impressive to see how they truly grasped the message that "what you love can lead to your future."

■ A time when people listened with sparkling eyes and asked sharp questions

On the day, the sixth graders spread out their notebooks and took notes enthusiastically, listening to the talk with serious expressions on their faces

During the question time,

  • What kind of people are hired in job interviews?
  • "Does all the money from the products sold go to Tomizawa Shouten ?"

The students continued to ask sharp questions that rivaled those of adults, and even the instructors were surprised

During the lecture, when asked the quiz question, "What is the most important thing in a job interview?",
the children thought deeply before raising their hands and clearly expressing their opinions.

A. A cheerful greeting
B. Make eye contact when speaking
C. Speak calmly

Upon seeing these options,
some children realized, "They're all correct!" and they
"there isn't just one right answer in an interview; it's a time to see what makes a person unique."
clearly understood the important point that

■ As a local company, we will continue to give back to the children of the future

It's been about two years since we moved our headquarters to Machida and began our journey as a company rooted in the local community.
This initiative is the first step that began with our desire to contribute to the local area.

Going forwardShouten,
way of giving back to Machida, the place where we were founded
will continue to support the learning and growth of children who will shape the future, as a
